Interesting things happen when you decide to sketch for an hour or so before bed, instead of consuming YouTube videos. When you decide to work instead of play. Things get done. The ball moves forward and you are that much closer to a goal.
I should do this again and see if I get similar results.
“The most valuable thing you can make is a mistake – you can’t learn anything from being perfect.” – Adam Osborne
Red strikes a snazzy pose in a over-sized raincoat dress.
Close up of the sketch in it’s early stage. I started out using a Non-Photo Blue pencil which turned out for the better seeing as I struggled to make the legs work… and they’re still not quite right yet. :/
Further a long.
I’ve started to go over my initial sketch with a mechanical pencil (0.5mm for life).
Where I stopped.
Added some grey scale Prismacolor markers.
It’s almost four in the morning and I need to be up an about early, plus work at 2pm. Time to stop.
“The price of anything is the amount of life you exchange for it.”

“Believe in yourself. If you don’t, then no one else will have a reason to.”
There’s nothing like realizing that you have 22 minutes until the end of day number thirteen and you haven’t done your daily drawing to set a fire under your butt.
By the power of the beards I was able to post a sketch by 1159pm… a little too close for comfort.
“We should not be afraid to go into a new era, to leave the old beyond.”
No surprise I have a day off and I can barely get myself to finish my daily sketch, now that I have to get ready for work all I want to do is finish this Red sketch. Sigh. Life can be silly sometimes.
I took the picture with my phone and then brought it in Photoshop because the lines were still really light.
I was looking through my reference pictures from one of my Boards on Pinterest, not sure what made me choose a really hard perspective shot, but it’s turning out pretty good so far. Had to pull out my old Head Turn Around I made a couple months ago for Red to make sure I was drawing her right.
I’ll definitely be returning to this later.
Looking at my Head Turn Around reminds me that I haven’t completed a full Body Turn Around yet. :/
Much work to do I have.
“Eighty percent of success is showing up.”
– Woody Allen
Leg study, a bit rough around the edges, but I know it’ll pay off in the end. Can’t wait to be able to draw poses without reference again. It’s been too long.
“Imagination is the highest kite one can fly.” -Lauren Bacall
Kick out the Epic Mother Fucker
About an hour spent on this speed painting.
I went with a different approach with my process, still starting off working small and zooming in as I go, but decided to start without a under sketch. A bit rough. :/
“Happiness is not a state to arrive at, but a manner of traveling.” -Margaret Lee Runback
Managed to put some time aside for me, and put it to use scratching through layers of neglected rust.
Was watching some K-Pop videos yesterday and saw one by 4 Minutes where one of them was wearing this cool fur coat, and thought it’d make a good drawing.
