Got a quick sketch in before work the other day, really wanted to do some characters stuff (not portrait) something quick cause I only had about an hour or so. I like how it turned out. I’ve dipped my toes back into the Premiere pool and am enjoying myself. I still have to work on some intro/outro stuff for my videos, but that’ll be down the road.
If you’re able to leave me any feedback on these timelapse vids, I’d really enjoy to hear it. Anything helps, is the speed too fast, music okay, etc?
A lot of late nights, accumulating into a collection. A conscious effort to accelerate the very thing that occupies my everyday mind dream. I walk a path, I make the journey… the journey makes me. Not stopping when I’m hurting, just attempting to bear fruit before the curtains catch me.
Recently started dabbling in streaming my creative efforts (https://www.twitch.tv/thefro3po come check me out, I’m streaming Tuesdays at 12-4pm MST and occasionally during the week when I get off of work 11pm to 12am MST ). A scary and exhilarating experience, but one that has been most rewarding. Here’s the broadcast of my first stream saved onto my YouTube account. I’ll be looking to do some time lapse versions of these in the future whenever I dust off my Premiere knowledge and stop procrastinating.
Sleep beckons me…
“When I run after what I think I want, my days are a furnace of stress and anxiety; if I sit in my own place of patience, what I need flows to me, and without pain. From this I understand that what I want also wants me, is looking for me and attracting me. There is a great secret here for anyone who can grasp it.” – Rumi
Portraits have always been my favorite things to sketch. People in general have always been a bit more interesting than environments and I tend to lean in that direction when I sketch, but I’d like to start incorporating more environments in my sketches…
We’ll see what happens.
Streaming has been going well, I’ve started to upload the full streams onto my YouTube channel and will be tackling some timelapse videos as well as some 1 min or a couple min clips from the stream. Doing my best to use the existing content and distribute them amongst the social media and other avenues in the best format that makes sense and allows them to be more easily consumed.
So far, being limited by time and having the pressure of recording or even having people watch me record/stream has helped me immensely. Forcing me to make the most out of my time and letting go of my ego and just continuously solve for the next creative problem.
The Journey is getting exciting
P.S. – future art plans = painting, art contests, art forums, t-shirts, blank comic covers.

I’ve been dying to jump back into photoshop, if not just to play around a bit.. feels like forever since I’ve been able to paint anything digitally. Now that it’s out of my system, I should do it again. 🙂
For now I’m off to bed.

I’ve reconnected to the digital realm via an actual computer… love the ability to post on the go and the options mobile devices provide. But I’ve always had a computer since 2005 and I’ve grown quite attached and comfortable with it (and the ability to actually type out a whole blog #heaven). Glad to have it back.
The main reason though I’m super stoked about having a computer again can be summed up in one word. PHOTOSHOP!!! Although, I’ll still be working in the traditional mediums, I’ll be moving the ball towards my 2017 goals so I can get back on track for completing Phase I by October.
I just recently had a schedule change at work, so my weekends are now Tues/Weds, so this first week will be a little weird as I adjust. But I’m stoked for late March/Early April. Some cool stuff going down.
Step two will be all about setting up a streaming work space (new desk, webcams, lighting, etc) and to begin actually streaming consistently. I have a ton of ideas on projects to stream and I imagine their will be an interesting learning curve as I stumble into “A Whole New World.”
For now, It’s grocery shopping and then I’m off to see Logan.
