Don’t Give Me Mono

Different Methods.
Your mind left blank,
Forest fires are the leftovers of love.

Casting a look in the direction I just came, this all seems vaguely familiar. Like a reflection’s reflection, reflecting something, something, something.

Toes Aren’t Important

Depending on the situation, it might be best to wear socks. Sleep can wait.

So, I guess I’ll start at the beginning, again. No don’t get up, I’ll set my own plate. Not too hungry anyways.

Forest Green.

Two faced and obscene I narrow my eyes.

Continue and I will too.

A Beginning Begins

A starting point

In reference of, a time well past.

To start over, reoccurring motif of my path.

A week ago my computer died on me.

I was filled with such rage, fist shaking at the sky questioning why, after all this work to get my website up and running, do I have to start the new year unable to create digitally.

One can picture my pouty mood, not posting anything. Not wanting to look at anything art related.

But there’s plenty of work to be accomplished for Phase I that doesn’t include creating TShirt designs, or practicing digitally painting and color theory.

Like getting back to the basics of anatomy, level design, story development, and the wall of crazy.

Bumps are just part of the Journey, can’t stop at everyone and take a week off to go through the seven stages of grief.

Too much work to do before my dreams become reality.

Wind and Water

Earthly Elements . . .

Slow weekend, not a whole lot getting accomplished.

I’m excited that my training at work is over with and I don’t have to wake up early or deal with traffic anymore. It’s the little things really. ¬†ūüôā

Ryhming Blog Titles . . .

Put some time aside today to enjoy myself and have fun creating again, feels like forever since I’ve been able to just sit down and paint. ¬†I’m glad the majority of the work on the site is complete, I still have to finish my about page and continue to update the blog archives, but I was able to fix the portfolio section and am happy with how it turned out.

I’m aiming for a Spring release of a handful of T-Shirt designs, which means I’ll have to create some T-Shirt designs… and put together a store. ¬†But that’s a worry for another time.

Three Years Later

Three Years Ago . . .

Mr. Forrester my Web Design teacher had the class create a WordPress blog as part of one of our final assignments.
Looking back I couldn’t be more happier that he did. ¬†The community of artists that I’ve met and interacted with have pushed and encouraged me, helping me grow as an artist and also nurture my own style.

Sometimes creating and expressing yourself can be a difficult and intimidating task.  But being surrounded by people (both similar and different to myself) all going through and dealing with the same thing helped me and gave me courage to keep pushing my craft forward.

I wouldn’t have made it this far without you all.
For that, I’m eternally grateful.

Here’s to the Journey

Tomorrow Never Dies

That moment when you stand peering at your own reflection, face to face with the person you’ve become. ¬†Seeing less of the person you feel you are and more a man made up of many compromises. ¬†How strange that that person can be the same me as the actual me and yet not be me.

Tomorrow my blog turns three

It Puts the Lotion on the Skin…

It Puts the Lotion on the Skin…

Three more days until official launch.
Tackling the social/sharing bullet point on my To-Do List today. ¬†Figured out how to allow likes on each blog post. ¬†I will be working on “repress” options after work today.

Tomorrow I’ll get the RnD team to look into Lightbox options for my portfolio, because I really don’t like the look of what I have now for enlarging portfolio images. ¬†It looks tacky and doesn’t translate well for mobile devices (images are actually bigger before you enlarge them lol).

Fresh snow fall from last night covering everything.  Hopefully the roads are okay, leaving early to ensure I get to work on time.

Happy Humpday

Testing, Testing, One, Two, Three

Feeling fabulous, fortunate and freaking excited for¬†an outstanding Friday launch. ¬†Friday will mark my third year anniversary of my Blog and as the site goes through the final testing phase, I’m excited to see everything coming together nicely.

My check list for the next four days.

  • Fix “About” page
  • Double/triple check mobile functionality
  • Seek alternatives for current “Portfolio” Lightbox presentation
  • Continue Fixing archived “Blog” post images
  • Finalize WordPress and other Social aspects of Blog/Portfolio
