Foundation Forgotten

Super excited with where this image has taken off to, put in some serious time yesterday on it.  I like the added turquoise and cyan blues… really going with a pastel feel on the environment.  The girl hiding in the tree lost a bunch of her volume and form along the way, so I had to go back in and recreate her anatomy, so I can re-clothe her.

I like Jaelle’s earlier clothing I originally had on her, but felt they looked a bit too much like Rey from The Force Unleashed, the later stuff was cool, but I ended up not a fan of it either.  I’ll probably have to take a trip to Pinterest and see what cool clothing reference I can find her.

Not sure what I’m going to do about The Ones Who Seek.

1.  They don’t look as menacing/scary as I had originally wanted.  I think I nailed down strange, but fell short of the intimidation factor I wanted.

2.  The large towering head looked great in silhouette, but not so much later on.  More experimenting will be necessary.

3.  Their floating companion looks like Pikachu.  lol

Where we left off…

Another day of creation.
Another smile.

Strawberries I Like

Hello,
Strawberries and painting.
My Bamboo lies forgotten.
No cat to chase the mouse in my hand.
Forward moving.

So, happy I decided to pick this one back up.  I was sitting at my computer eating some Ramien and playing Words with Friends on my phone, when out of the corner of my eye I see my screensaver pop up my stopping place for our female warrior.

Well this prompted me to open it up in Photoshop.

Messed up her shoulder in the process, and I think I like her face before, simpler… happier.
Plenty work left for me to do.
The journey continues.

Just feeling out this character.

They Seek, She Hides

I seem to get further while doing less.
Not seeking out the details.
My mouse game is getting better and using just the mouse forces me to focus only on volume and the different forms I’m creating.

This is fun!

Second Breakfast

I am so hungry right now.
It must be time for second breakfast.

Not in Kansas Anymore

After a seemingly endless drive through Kansas, I finally arrived in Colorado Springs this morning around 3am.

I managed to get a bunch of stuff unpacked, but there’s plenty of work to be done.

The journey continues.

Meet Virginia

My dreams came true this morning.

After sleeping peacefully at a rest stop, a trip to the bathroom revealed a hot coffee vending machine.

Journey Before Destination

Had to extend my stay two extra days to catch up to my procrastination.  🙂
So glad that part of the ordeal is over… and happy to be almost on the road.

Had to make a pit stop at the library to download another audiobook to my phone.  I have book  one and two of The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson.  I’ve already read both books, but I’m looking forward to experiencing the books through a different medium.  These miles are about to fly by.

Here’s part of my “On the Road” sustenance supply.
