I can already see the benefits of having a head turn around bearing fruit, just seeing both profile views at once has allowed me to catch mistakes I hadn’t even think to look for. Also, once completed this should help eliminate the discrepancies of facial features from drawing to drawing. As a reference, moving slowly and ensuring I get her face just the way I want it will be a huge time saver later down the road.
But what I’ve really been enjoying is how much I’ve been learning about the human head. I’ll look at some reference, draw some, look at some reference, realize one of the other drawings are just a tad bit off, correct it… wash, rinse, repeat. Very helpful. I know I have a long ways to go, but I’m loving the journey.
